How to Connect PS4 Controller to ePSXe Emulator
Using a Wired Connection
Step 1: Launch the DS4Windows tool.
Step 2: Now take your PS4 controller and plug both ends of the USB cable correctly into your PC and your controller.
Step 3: Once you connect both ends, go to the Controllers tab on DS4Windows. You will see your PS4 controller here.
Connecting PS4 controller to ePSXe emulator Wirelessly
Step 1: Press the Share and the PlayStation button simultaneously for about 3-4 seconds till the light flashes on your controller to show that it is in pairing mode.
Step 2: Now go to the Windows search bar and type “Bluetooth” and hit enter.
Step 3: Click on Add Bluetooth or other device.
Step 4: Click on Bluetooth.
That’s it! Your PS4 Controller will now be connected to your PC.
You can now launch the PSX emulator on your PC and start using your PS4 controller with it.
Configuring the PS4 Controller with ePSXe Emulator
Connecting your PS4 controller with your PC is just one part, in order to use it conveniently with the PSX emulator, you will have to configure it. Here is how:
Step 1: Open DS4Windows.
Step 2: Go to the Auto Profiles tab.
Step 3: Click on Add Directory.
Step 4: Navigate and select the directory in which your PSX emulator is installed and click on OK.
Step 5: Now check the box for ePSXe in the Auto Profiles tab in DS4 Windows.
Step 6: Launch the PSX emulator on your PC.
Step 7: Click on the Config tab and then go to GamePads>Port 1>Pad 1.
Step 8: You can clear the keyboard buttons here and then map your controller by pressing the buttons on the controller.
Once you are finished mapping the controller, click on OK.
Now you can start using your PS4 controller with an ePSXe emulator.
